Even though Sparkle didn’t come in at number 1 as I’d hoped, the movie was freaking fantastic!!!  As side from me crying the whole second half of the movie, I had such a great time hanging out with my mom and granny.  I was beyond excited to see this movie and it truly exceeded all of my expectations.  Jordan Sparks was all of that as Sparkle, Tika Sumpter killed it as the Dee, Carmen Ejogo, was wonderful as Sister, and Whitney…I have no words.  I tried to come home and tell my husband about her in this movie and I started to cry again.  She was just…outstanding!!  It was just hard to watch her honestly, but I wanted to see that movie, again the next day.  I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to everyone to go see it.  It came in at number 5, so I hoping that most of you haven’t seen it and will go out and support this amazing movie!!

Coming Soon To Your Theaters

On another note…while waiting on Sparkle to start they previews were awesome.  A new movie with Jamie Fox is coming out this year called Django Unchained, where he plays a slave that joins forces with a bounty hunter in exchange for his freedom and the location of his wife, played by Kerri Washington.  Check out the trailer below.
