Love Dominique

I was so excited to do this interview with Love Dominique, she is an amazingly talented young lady.  It is so refreshing to hear REAL music for a change and she has just that, refreshing.  She has perfect R&B/Soul music that is a breath of fresh air to me.  Check out her interview below and please support and check her out.  Gotta love grown and sexy music.  Look for her in a city near you…this young lady is BAD!!

INTERVIEW:

PART 1

VR: Your voice is so soothing and simply amazing, how long have you been singing?

LOVE DOMINIQUE: Thank you! I have been singing since I was a child but didn’t pick it up professionally until a few years ago.

VR: You live in Houston/H-Town, TX, where there are tons of super star talent, such as Yolanda Adams, Brian-Michael Cox, Kim Burrell, and even Destiny’s Child, were you influenced by any of these hometown artist?

LD: Yes! Definitely, Beyonce is a huge influence for me.

VR: What artist, song, or album can you not get enough of right now?

LD: I am actually listening to Frank Ocean’s  Channel Orange on repeat right now. But usually I listen to a lot of Toni Braxton. She influences my tone a lot..

VR: If you could sing a duet with any person, who would it be, and why?

LD: Tina Turner!!!!! Tina is the ultimate performer. I love how she could take boring ballads and bring power to them. I would love to sing Proud Mary with her..I know all the dance moves so I’m ready lol

VR: I know that you are extremely busy, but when, or if, you have a day of “down time”, what would be your ideal way to spend that day?

LD: Right now I just want to go to a movie with this cute guy I know lol.  We have been touring, finishing my EP and shooting videos so I haven’t been to a movie in months. We are off until beginning of August so I plan to do that this weekend.

PART 2.

VR: Keeping with the brand of The Latest With VR, who is your current celebrity eye candy?

LD: I have a few.. Idris Elba, Micheal Ealy and Chris Brown..But I am a boxing enthusiast so Floyd Mayweather is topping the list right now based on that..

VD: I am a die hard Foodie, is there a  restaurant, dish, or meal that makes your heart flutter ;-) ?

LD: Ooh if you are ever in Houston we have to do lunch! I am def a foodie!! I am a southern girl so I just want a plate of mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and baked chicken with cornbread.. I could order that at any restaurant. I just recently had some chicken at this underground mall in Atlanta that I’m still thinking about..

VD: For entertainment purposes, do you prefer: Television or Internet? And what is your guilty pleasure on either of those?

LD: Television.. When I think internet I’m usually working or researching something for music. My guilty pleasure is Love and Hip Hop Atlanta..I hate to admit it but I watch it faithfully and live tweet the foolishness..My road manager and I have been threatening to put paws on each other all week lol

VD: If you were on a deserted island, what is the one thing you would have to have with you?

LD: I’m going to assume I already have food and water so..my ipod touch..I need my music!

PART 3.

VD: Throughout your music career, who has given you the best advice, and what was that advice?

LD: Fans dictate your success..I think a lot of up and coming artist want to focus on what an exec or A&R will think when the key is pleasing your supporters. If they love you then you are right where you need to be..my little brother told me that J

VD: You are a gorgeous women, but I’m sure you are as beautiful inside as you are are out, what would you like to be know for as an artist?

LD: I want to be the artist that made little girls know that they can always follow their dreams.

VD: Five years from now you will be….

LD: Releasing my 2nd full length album, touring and supporting my brother with his film projects
